Prior to joining The Eagle's staff, Cassie held the position of photography and digital asset management intern for the Houston Texans. In addition to photographing Texans games and community, corporate, marketing and stadium events, Cassie created the Texans photo catalog and began organizing and applying metadata to photos from previous years. She also served as the social media coordinator for the Justin J. Watt Foundation.

Before graduating from Texas A&M University in May 2019, Cassie was a photojournalist at the student-run newspaper, The Battalion. She lead the photo desk for two years as the photo chief and assisted with many other tasks, including page design, videography and writing.

Cassie's most notable coverage during her college career was that of former President George H.W. Bush's state funeral in December 2018. There, she worked alongside photojournalists from various national news outlets and was the youngest photographer in attendance. Her work was recognized at multiple state and national collegiate media conferences.

Cassie's work has been published by the Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle and San Antonio Express-News.
